Help for birth relatives

If someone in your family has been adopted we offer support and guidance to help you understand the arrangement and help you to deal with issues relating to adoption.

We offer:

  • help and support to make contact arrangements
  • adoption support needs assessments
  • counselling

We offer counselling for the family members of someone that has been adopted. This allows you to talk to others which can help you feel less alone, help you explore the difficult feelings around adoption and help you understand the adoption process.

We can offer counselling through the Post Adoption Centre (PAC), you can also refer yourself at any time by contacting PAC directly.
