Learners aged 16 and 25 with SEND
We'll consider applications for education travel assistance for young people over 16 but under 25 living in Medway if they:
- have learning difficulties or disabilities
- have a statement of special educational needs
- have an education, health and care (EHC) plan
- live more than 3 miles away from their educational or training provider.
Having a statement of special educational need or an EHC plan does not automatically qualify for travel assistance.
A financial contribution to travel assistance is needed for young people aged 16 to 19 and all applicants are encouraged and supported to apply for relevant grants or bursaries.
