We want to improve the Temple Marsh site by creating a nature reserve for wildlife and residents to enjoy. 
The project aims to protect the unique ecology of the site, and improve access for residents.
The Temple Marsh site is located on Knights Road in Strood.
Our proposals
We plan to make the following improvements:
- create new footpaths and nature play trails
- improve viewpoints of the River Medway
- add a wildlife viewing platform
- protect and enhance local habitats and wildlife
- add picnic benches and seating areas
- create 3 new entrances
- add new wayfinding signs.

What happens next
We're reviewing your feedback from our consultation.
Our aims for 2026 include:
- finishing our technical designs
- agreeing on our landscape and river wall proposals
- appointing a contractor to complete the work.
Works are expected to start in the summer of 2026.
