About the Medway Together Fund (MTF)

We've launched the new Medway Together Fund (MTF) for 2026.

The new fund replaces the previous UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which provided 4 years of funding grants between 2022 and 2025.

Since the UKSPF programme launched in 2022, over £1.8 million worth of funding has been spent on delivering over 140 projects supporting charities, voluntary sector organisations, private sector organisations, and other eligible groups across Medway.

The Medway Together Fund will continue offering funding towards community-led initiatives focusing on the element of pride in Medway.

This programme is fully funded by Medway Council.

Available funds

We have 3 separate funds that you can apply for:

  • Medway Impact Fund
  • Feasibility Fund
  • Summer Events Fund.

For each fund, applicants will need to ensure that their projects align with specific Medway Together Fund key interventions.

The Medway Impact Fund

The Medway Impact Fund is open to applicants looking to develop and implement projects that can have a lasting positive impact on our local communities and residents. This fund aims to support our social enterprise sector and enable our organisations to deliver transformation in alignment with the goals and objectives of Medway 2041.

We welcome bids from organisations looking to fund a range of projects that align with the following Medway Together Fund key interventions:

  • Intervention 1: Improving our communities’ physical infrastructure
  • Intervention 2: Increasing service provision to our local communities and residents
  • Intervention 3: Increasing the health and wellbeing of residents
  • Intervention 4: Encouraging people to visit or explore Medway
  • Intervention 6: Supporting local business.

The Feasibility Fund

The Feasibility Fund will provide funding for feasibility studies to support initial concept and business plan development: seed funding to help get project ideas off the ground.

This fund could help to unlock projects capable of securing further public and private investment in the longer-term. We see this fund as an important way of supporting the creation of impactful projects and concepts that could lead to longer-term change.

The Feasibility Fund is intended to support projects that could deliver outcomes across all Medway Together Fund key interventions.

This fund is specifically designed to deliver on the ambitions and objectives set out in Medway Council’s regeneration strategy, Medway 2041 and the key interventions.

The Summer Events Fund

The Summer Events Fund is open to applicants who are seeking funding to hold a large-scale summer event, with the intention of fostering pride in place in our community and encouraging people to explore and visit Medway.

All projects must be aligned with Intervention 4: Encouraging people to visit or explore Medway from our Medway Together Fund key interventions.

A large-scale summer event is any event:

  • taking place between June and August 2026
  • with a minimum of 500 attendees.
