Two public consultation processes ran for the LDO and Environmental Statement with supporting documentation. These consultations ran from 17 June to 19 July 2019 and 26 October to 27 November 2020.
Two separate LDOs were consulted on as the site cuts across both Medway Council and Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council areas, and must be adopted by each authority having followed the legislative requirements.
You can view Medway Council's LDO consultation material on the planning portal, reference MC/19/1556.
A report was taken to Medway Council's Cabinet on 15 December 2020 and Full Council on 17 December 2020. Cabinet approved the recommendation to adopt the Masterplan and the LDO, which was followed by Medway Council’s Full Council decision to adopt the Local Development Order (LDO) on 17 December 2020.
