Medway Sport are delivering a 12-week sporting programme aimed at promoting women and girls' safety within sport as part of the Safer Streets initiative. It aims to create supportive, social groups and engage participation in sport in safe environments across all age ranges.

This programme is now available for premier members to book in advance at no extra cost as part of their membership package.

Strood Sports Centre sessions 

Cost price is subsidised by Safer Streets at £3.50 per person.

Monday

  • 11am to 11.45am - HydroFit. Suitable for ages 16 years and up
  • 5pm to 6pm - JumpFit. Suitable for ages 12 years and up.

Tuesday

  • 9am to 9.45am - Fitsteps. Suitable for ages 16 years and up.

Wednesday

  • 9.30am to 10.15am - toddler yoga. Suitable for mums and children aged 1 to 4 years. Free for children
  • 4pm to 5.30pm - Strood dance. Suitable for ages 12 to 17 years.

Friday

  • 9.30am to 10.15am - legs, bums and tums. Suitable for ages 16 years and up.

Strood and Rochester

These sessions have been funded by Safer Streets for the 12-week programme and are free to take part.

Tuesday

  • 9.15am to 10am - run club. Meet at Strood Sports Centre reception. Suitable for ages 16 years and up
  • 11am to 11.30am - BuggyFit. Meet at Northcote Road Recreation Ground, Strood. Suitable for mums with baby in buggy.

Thursday

  • 10.30am to 11.30am - couch to 5k. Meet at Northcote Road Recreation ground, Strood. Suitable for ages 16 years and up
  • 1pm to 2pm - BuggyFit. Meet at Rochester Esplanade play area. Suitable for mums with baby in buggy
  • 7.30pm to 8.30pm - run club. Meet opposite The Crown Pub, Rochester Esplanade. Suitable for ages 16 years and up.
