Medway Sports apprenticeships progress

Over the past 2 years up to 90% of our apprentices have progressed to full-time roles within our sports centres.

Key benefits of our apprenticeship pathway include:

  • clear progression into employment: apprentices move into roles they already understand and feel confident in
  • increased earning potential: successful apprentices receive a pay grade increase after finishing their qualification, and again when they move to a full time position
  • hands-on experience: apprentices benefit from 12 to 18 months of mentoring, coaching and supported practice before becoming fully responsible for delivering programmes and services
  • career development: many apprentices continue to progress into senior roles and are supported by Medway Sport’s commitment to individual learning and development
  • supportive employers: our structured pathway and investment in people help create a strong foundation for a long term career in the leisure industry.
