The application was heard by the licensing hearing panel on 7 January 2011.

Decision - the panel accepted that, in law, this seemed to be a private nuisance rather than a public nuisance but that it was probable that the noise heard by the applicant did come from Amadeus. The panel took note of proposals by the club to provide a 24-hour contact number to the interested party, that they will do a full service of their EQ sound system and installation of chipboard and this was agreed to take place within three months.

The grounds for requesting a review were based on the prevention of public nuisance licensing objective (noise issues and non-compliance with licence conditions) from the operation of the premises.

The application was heard by the Licensing Hearing Panel on 24 March 2009.

Decision - the panel decided that the main complaint by the applicant had been the inability of residents to contact the school. The panel therefore put a condition on the licence that a telephone number would be made available to residents.

In accordance with the above legislation, Medway Council received a notice from Medway Magistrates Court to review the premises licence following a closure order made by Kent Police for:

The grounds for making the closure order were in the interest of public safety as a result of disorder and disturbance in or in the vicinity of the premises. The closure order was necessary to prevent public nuisance.

The application was heard by the Licensing Hearing Panel on 23 January 2009.

Decision - the panel decided to reduce the hours of the premises and put 12 conditions on the licence to promote the licensing objectives.
