Be Yourself

Be yourself is a free employability programme for young people who are not in education, employment, training (NEET). The aim of the programme is to:

  • build confidence
  • build resilience
  • give young people the skills to progress
  • help young people achieve their goals.

You need to be aged between 16 to 24 years (up to 25 years old with additional needs) to sign up for the programme.

It also offers:

  • free training opportunities
  • CV and job-hunting support.

There are several programmes that offer different employment support, including:

  • special incentives
  • employment support.

Special incentives

The special incentives programme offers accreditations that could lead to employment.

For example, you can complete a course and test, and receive a Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card.

  • CV workshops
  • online applications workshops

Every young person will have a careers guidance interview to help identify your future goals. It will help you to:

  • find what works for you
  • understand what your options are
  • plan your next steps for success.
