Junior Summer Scheme, ages 8 to 13

A range of fun activities, including sports, arts, cookery, music and team games.

Cost: £5 a day

Where and when:

  • Walderslade Girl's School: 2, 9, 16 and 23 August
  • Oasis Academy: 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 August
  • Gillingham Family Hub: 6, 13, 20 and 27 August

Multi-sports

Participate in a range of sporting activities.
Cost: £5 a day or £20 for the week.

Strood Youth Centre: 27 to 30 August

Free park activities

A variety of fun activities in your local park including art, music, sport and much more.

Where and when

  • The Rec, Grain from 12.15pm to 12.45pm on 6, 13, 20 and 27 August
  • The Rec, Allhallows from 5.15pm to 7.45pm on 6, 13, 20 and 27 August
  • Knight Place Park, Strood from 12.15pm to 2.45pm on 7, 14, 21 and 28 August
  • The Rec, Hoo from 5.15pm to 7.45pm on 24, 31 July, 7, 14, 21 and 28 August
  • The Rec, Cliffe from 1.30pm to 4pm on 8, 15, 22 and 29 August

Free mixed sports

Participate in a wide range of sporting activities.

When and where: Chalk Pitt Hill on 25 July

Senior Summer Scheme,

For ages 13 to 18 or up to 25 for young people with additional needs.

Film making project

Script writing, storyboarding, camera work, acting, lighting, special effects, prop making, and editing.
Cost: £5 a day or £20 for 6.

Where and when: Parkwood Youth Centre, starting on 25 July (6 weekly sessions)

Music vs Crime

Workshops to explain the relationship between young people and music. Educating young people on the impact music plays across cultures and society, and challenging perceptions and stereotypes.
Cost: £5 a day.

Where and when: WREC Room, Pentagon Centre, Chatham, starting on 24 July (6 weekly sessions)

Cookery

Working to complete a series of challenges and tasks to gain a Foodwise ASDAN award in cooking
Cost: £5 a day.

Where and when: Woodlands Youth Centre on 21 and 28 August

Pampering

How to look after your wellbeing. Includes facial, manicure, pedicures, mindfulness
£5 a day.

Where and when: Woodlands Youth Centre on 28 August

For all ages

Family Fun Day

Arts and crafts, messy play and physical fun.

Where and when: 

  • Gillingham Fun Day: 9.30am to 11am, 23 August
  • Strood Youth Centre: 11am to 2pm on 28 August
