Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates

In line with government advice to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), youth group and evening activities are cancelled until the end of June.

We have set up online youth sessions to help support young people in Medway while group sessions are cancelled.

Centres remain open as offices and points of contact.

Monday activities

Peninsula Detached - Street based work in various locations around the Peninsula. Working with young people to develop projects based on their ideas, needs and interests.

Price: Free

Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Location: Across the Hoo Peninsula

Tuesday activities

Strood Youth Centre – Accreditation session with Sports Award, Arts Award and Food Hygiene courses available. For young people aged 13 or over for the Sport and Arts Award or 15 and over for Food Hygiene Certificate.

Price: £1

Time: 6pm to 8pm

Out Reach project - Street based work in various locations around the Peninsula. Working with young people to develop projects based on their ideas, needs and interests.

Wednesday activities

Hoo Library Juniors - Structured youth activities for younger groups aged 10 to 14. Activities include music, cookery and filmmaking

Price: 50p

Time: 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Strood Youth Club- Youth club session for 12 to 19 year olds with activities including cookery, music, arts and sports.

Price: £1

Time: 6pm to 8pm

Thursday activities

Duke of Edinburgh night – An evening focussing on accredited activities including climbing, archery and Duke of Edinburgh Award. For young adults aged 16 to 24 years.

Price: £1

Time: 7pm to 9pm

Grain Youth Club– Session for young people aged 10 to 14. Activities include music, cookery, gardening, pool, table football and arts and crafts.

Price: 50p

Friday activities

Junior Fun Club– A fun session for 9 to 12 year olds run by our senior members.

Price: £1

Time: 6pm to 8pm

Saturday activities

Family climbing– Learn to climb as a family working with our qualified instructors.

Price: £3 for 90 minutes or £5 for 3 hours
