Join us for a spectacular Christmas at Eastgate House where we will be celebrating 175 years since Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol.

A Christmas Carol

Saturday 15 December and Sunday 16 December 2018

This performance of one of Charles Dickens’ most famous books is truly unique. As you enter our 16th Century Grand Reception room, the drama starts to unfold all around you. Scenes from the play will be performed in the various alcoves and hidden doorways.

Performances at 1pm, 2.30pm, 4pm, 5.30pm and 7pm.

Audience members stand for the performance, which runs for 45 minutes.

Not suitable for children under 12.


Tickets cost £12 per person.

Tickets are available from Eastgate House, High Street, Rochester ion Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 5pm.

Victorian Father Christmas 

Gather round, get comfy and listen as our Victorian Father Christmas reads a unique story about the mice of Eastgate House.

Father Christmas will be around from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 22 December and Sunday 23 December 2018

No need to pre-book, just turn up.
