Medway strategy for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) 2019 to 2022

To ensure that Medway’s SEND improvement journey continues at pace, a multi-agency SEND Strategy has been created. This sets out the joint strategic direction that all local partners involved in supporting children and young people with SEND will be taking.

The strategy sets out seven priorities and actions, and was produced with input from parents and young people.

It covers the main areas for improvement that the council, health, social care and education partners will focus on. These actions will improve opportunities for young people with SEND to help them live fulfilled lives and achieve independence in their local community.
