Renew a mandatory HMO licence
You must renew your HMO licence before it expires. We'll send you a reminder when it's time to start your renewal application.
Renewal applications can take a few months to process, so it's important to apply early.
When you renew, we'll check that the information from your previous application still applies.
Changes in licence holder
You cannot renew a HMO licence if the licence holder has changed, for example because they no longer own the property.
You must submit a new application.

Significant changes include:

Renew your HMO licence
You need to create a user account or log in if you already have an account.
Once you have started your application, you can save your progress at any time and complete the rest later..
After you renew
After you apply to renew your licence, we'll carry out the same checks and inspections as we do for a new licence application.
We may add, change or remove licence conditions before sending the applicant and all interested parties a draft licence.
Everyone named in the application will have 4 weeks to comment or raise any objections.
If we receive any comments or objections within the deadline, we'll discuss them with the licence holder.
If there are no comments or objections, we'll issue the final licence and send it to all interested parties.
