Medway’s most innovative and exciting building projects will be celebrated this year with the return of the prestigious Medway Design and Regeneration Awards.

Unique and interesting structures can be found across Medway, and both residents and businesses are invited to nominate a project in this year’s awards.

Do you own, or have you built an eco-home, large infrastructure project or a quirky public building in the last five years? You could be crowned a winner at a glittering awards ceremony later this year.

Nominations for the Medway Design and Regeneration Awards are now open and businesses and residents have until midnight on Wednesday, 31 March to enter.

Entry is free and there is no limit on the number of nominations you can make, but each building, development or project can only be entered into three of the seven available categories.

All nominations will be carefully considered and shortlisted, before an independent panel of judges selects an overall winner for each category.

The shortlisted businesses and developers will be invited to attend an awards ceremony at The Rochester Corn Exchange on Thursday, 22 September.

Celebrating innovative developments

Leader of Medway Council, Cllr Alan Jarrett, said: “The Medway Design and Regeneration Awards celebrates innovative developments, conservation and heritage projects as well as commercial, industrial and retail works. The awards are a great opportunity for all businesses and developers who have played a part in the regeneration of Medway over the last five years. We have some seen some fantastic regeneration projects evolve and I would encourage residents, and companies, to nominate their favourite schemes.”

The Medway Design and Regeneration Awards are sponsored by Bailey Partnership Architects, Bellway Homes Ltd, Countryside Partnerships PLC, DHA Planning, Esquire Developments Peel L&P and Redrow Homes Ltd.
