The park will provide a safe space for children and families to enjoy, with improved accessible equipment installed including a basket swing, Supernova rotator and play panels, to encourage social play.

We set aside £275,000 to upgrade play equipment in seven of its parks, with improvements taking place throughout the spring.

Lamplighters Close in Hempstead, Borstal Recreation Ground in Rochester, Hamilton Road in Gillingham and Low Meadow in Halling are also now complete, with Whimbrel Walk in Lordswood and Crestway in Chatham will be completed in due course.

The improvements support the council’s aspiration to become a Child-Friendly City, putting children and young people at the heart of everything it does.
