Has a council officer or team gone above and beyond to help you? Here's your chance to thank by nominating them for a Make a Difference Employee Recognition Award.

The Make a Difference Awards celebrate the successes and the hard work and commitment of those working for us.

There are 10 categories up for grabs which individuals or teams can be nominated for:

  • Apprentice of the Year Award
  • Community Support Award
  • Customer Service Award
  • Employee of the Year Award
  • Innovation and Bright Idea Award
  • Making a Difference to our Customers Lives Award
  • Manager of the Year Award
  • Partnerships Award
  • Team of the year Award
  • Unsung Hero Award

We are encouraging members of the public, as well as employees, to nominate council staff who have gone above and beyond to help them throughout the last year. There is no limit to the number of nominations you can make and you can nominate the same person or team for more than one award category.

The closing date for nominations is Friday, 10 June.

The shortlisted staff members will be invited to a sponsored gala ceremony which is due to take place later in the year. The overall category winners will be announced at the event.

Fantastic opportunity to recognise the hard work of our staff

Chief Executive of Medway Council, Neil Davies, said: “The Make a Difference Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to recognise the hard work of our council staff throughout the year. We know many of our staff go above and beyond to help our residents and the awards are our chance to thank them, and celebrate, all that they do. If residents have been supported by a particular council employee, or team, I would encourage them to make a nomination for the Make a Difference Awards.”
