A restaurant in an old fire station, architectural lighting at a historic church and a listed building home to a café, gallery and art studios, are just some of the shortlisted buildings.
More than 36 entries were submitted for this year’s Medway Design and Regeneration Awards and the nominated buildings and developments have now been shortlisted.
An independent panel of judges will now select an overall winner for each of the seven categories and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Rochester Corn Exchange on Thursday, 22 September. The awards ceremony will be hosted by David Birkbeck, chief executive at Design for Homes and Sadie Morgan, co-founding director at award winning architecture practice dRMM, will be a guest speaker.
