Medway residents will have a chance to have their say on the proposed Hoo Development Framework at a series of upcoming public consultation meetings.

Attendees will be able to learn more about the outline proposals in the draft masterplan for the Hoo Peninsula over the coming decades, before leaving their feedback either via an online survey or a paper-based version.

The Hoo Development Framework provides a high-level strategic overview of the potential sustainable growth of communities on the peninsula for the next 30 years, including education, healthcare, arts, leisure and sports facilities.

The public consultation will run until Friday, 25 November, with the public exhibitions taking place at:

  • High Halstow – Wednesday, 2 November – 2.30pm to 6.30pm, High Halstow Memorial Hall
  • Hoo – Saturday, 5 November – 9am to 12pm, Hundred of Hoo Secondary School
  • Chattenden – Wednesday, 9 November – 3pm to 8pm, Chattenden Community Centre

Members of the public can also give their views online. For more information, email planning.policy@medway.gov.uk, or leave a message on 01634 331629.
