A MasterChef maestro will be taking centre stage at the Medway Food and Drink Festival this month.
The mouth-watering Medway Food and Drink Festival is taking place at the historic Rochester Castle Gardens, from Friday, 31 March to Sunday, 2 April.
Join us at the family-friendly festival in Rochester where you will be able to watch and learn from live cooking demonstrations from expert chefs, including MasterChef’s Samuel McClurkin, and soak in the sounds from the music stage.
Don’t miss the live kitchen theatre which will see food industry experts share their knowledge and insights across the weekend through a series of demonstrations and talks.
Samuel McClurkin, head chef at The Tyler’s Kiln in Canterbury, will be showing off his skills on the Sunday. Will Freeman, head chef at The Pumproom at Copper Rivet Distillery in Chatham, will wow crowds on the Saturday and Smart Wellness by Dr Julia Jones will help people forge healthy habits on the Friday.
The line-up for the live kitchen theatre will continue to grow and details will be released over the coming weeks, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for updates online.
Festivalgoers will also be spoilt for choice with a huge range of tasty food and delicious drink stalls on offer across the weekend.
Whilst treating their tastebuds, residents and visitors to Medway can enjoy live music from the music stage throughout the day. The full music line-up can be found on the Medway Food and Drink Festival Facebook page.
The festival truly has something for everyone with a dedicated children’s area with games, music, a magician and interactive learning, as well as free entry to the daytime festival for children aged 10 and under. This supports our ambition to make Medway even more child-friendly.
There’s also something exclusively for the adults. Those who aren’t quite ready to head home following the daytime festivities can also get tickets to watch an amazing line-up of comedians on the Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm - 9pm.
Both the daytime foodie festival and evening comedy are ticketed events and booking in advance will secure a discounted price for daytime tickets. You can buy your tickets and check out the confirmed line up of food and drink stalls and comedians on Zoom Events’ website.
