An exciting and innovative group fitness programme is making its way to Medway.
MOSSA will be launching on Sunday, 26 March at Strood Sports Centre with two free taster sessions. The first class will run from 9.30-10.30am with a second session taking place from 10.30-11.30am.
The idea behind MOSSA is to get everyone moving and to create a fun and exciting environment where people don’t see exercise as a chore, but something they look forward to doing. Residents will be able to try three of the group programmes – active, power and fight.
Group Active is an all-round class that focuses on cardio, balance and strength training, Group Power focuses on lifting weights and using your bodyweight and Group Fight uses mixed martial arts techniques to boost your cardio.
All of the classes are choreographed to music, which is changed on a regular basis to keep classes fresh and interesting.
Strood Sports Centre will be the first place in Kent people can access a fully-licensed MOSSA fitness programme and two members from MOSSA HQ will be joining the team on the launch day.
Cllr Howard Doe, Deputy Leader of Medway Council and Portfolio Holder for Community Services, said: “It’s great that we are offering Medway residents these new and exciting fitness classes at Strood Sports Centre. We hope that introducing these classes will encourage residents to become more active and increase their fitness levels. Exercise also helps improve mental wellbeing and I would encourage anybody, regardless of their level of fitness, to come down and take part.”
