Families were given tips and advice on how to lead healthier lifestyles at a free fun day.

Medway Council’s public health team runs the Tri for You programme which helps families learn more about staying active and healthy eating.

They held a free fun day at Medway Park on Sunday, 15 April with activities for all the family including gladiator duels, UV dance classes and cooking activities where families could try out healthy recipes and create their own smoothies.

Families could also find out information about sugar to help them learn how to reduce their sugar intake and become sugar smart.

Cllr David Brake, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder covering Public Health, said:

“There was plenty of fun for all the family at our Tri for You fun day. It was great to see so many families come and learn more about eating healthily and becoming more active. I would encourage residents to contact our A Better Medway team to find out more about making small changes to lead healthier lifestyles.”
