Summer may be sizzling, but we are already thinking about panto season – and this year’s performance is a dream come true.
Sleeping Beauty will enchant audiences at The Central Theatre Chatham from Thursday, 11 December 2025 to Sunday, 4 January 2026, with tickets available to book now.
In what promises to be a production full of laughter, magic and festive fun, Sleeping Beauty will be a treat for the whole family to enjoy.
Lee Latchford-Evans, star of the iconic pop group Steps, will be bringing charm and charisma to the stage in his role as Prince Valiant. Together with Fairy Fortywinks, played by CITV and CBBC star Naomi Wilkinson, he will be trying to rescue Alicia Belgarde's Princess Aurora from her slumber and stop the wicked Carabosse – played by the fabulous Carli Norris of Eastenders and Hollyoaks fame.
Britain’s Got Talent’s Andrew Curphey is also making his way back to Medway to play the role of Chester the Jester, and Alex Anstey, back by popular demand once again, will be bringing the panto shenanigans as Dame Nellie Night Nurse.
Special tradition
Cllr Nina Gurung, Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and Leisure, said: “The pantomime is such a special tradition and we know families always have a blast at The Central Theatre. The show will be packed with glitz, glamour and the usual panto theatrics – oh yes it will!
“I am really pleased to see the return of our accessible and relaxed performances as well, giving all of our residents a chance to experience the magic of the Christmas pantomime. Tickets are on sale now – so make sure to reserve your seats early!”
Preview night tickets, on 11 December, cost £18. Tickets for other performances start at £21.50. Children under 18 months can go for free, but will require a ticket. Please contact the box office by calling 01634 338338 if you will be bringing a child under 18 months old.
A British Sign Language (BSL) signed performance will be held on Sunday, 14 December at 6pm.
A relaxed performance will be held on Tuesday, 30 December at 5pm. As well as being BSL signed, this show will leave the house lights on, there will be no loud noises or special effects, and the audience is free to move around the theatre as they like. Tickets for the relaxed performance need to be booked through the box office by calling 01634 338338.
School performances are taking place on 12, 16 and 17 December at 10.30am. Schools must book these tickets through the box office on 01634 338338.
