International table tennis star Josh Bennett will be attending an upcoming table tennis event at Medway Park on Wednesday, 4 February.

Medway Park’s sports hall will be transformed for one evening only, with 22 tables available for public booking. Details of upcoming activities can be found on the Medway Sport website.

Josh, England’s 14th highest ranked player, plays in the British Clubs League Premier Division for BATTS, and recently appeared in the Oscar-nominated hit Marty Supreme. Despite having no prior acting experience, the 26-year-old earned himself a place in the closing credits, and even coached Hollywood’s Timothee Chalamet on set.

Josh’s appearance marks Medway’s contribution to what is already a significant year in table tennis for the nation, with the ITTF Team World Championships returning to London after a 100-year hiatus.

Inspire the next generation

Cllr Nina Gurung, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and Leisure, said: “We extend our warm welcome to Josh, to Medway Park this week. It is really exciting that we have yet another elite sportsperson making their way to Medway to visit one of our world-class sports centres, helping inspire the next generation of athletes in Medway. Make sure to book onto the session whilst spaces are still available!”
