Children and young people are being asked to put their creative skills to the test to create new signs which will be displayed throughout Medway.
Announced today on Earth Day (Wednesday, 22 April), our Child-Friendly Medway team is relaunching the Signs of Youth project.
Children and young people are being asked to design their own sign focused on keeping Medway cleaner and greener, and based on littering, dog fouling, recycling, car idling, planting more flowers and trees, or taking care of wildlife.
The popular project has already seen more than 150 signs designed by Medway’s children and young people installed in greenspaces, high streets, parks and roads across Medway.
With the relaunch, around 50 new designs will be chosen to be installed permanently in Medway.

We know how passionate young people in Medway are about the environment, and it is a message we wholeheartedly support. I know our Child-Friendly Medway team are already looking forward to seeing all of the designs which will come through – and who knows, your design might be chosen to be permanently installed right here in Medway!”
Designs for the new signs need to be submitted by Tuesday, 1 September.
