National investors have signed up to an event to find out more about Medway’s growing economy and opportunities.
Dozens of key business people from across the UK have already signed up to attend the Pitch and Promote event in London on Wednesday, 31 October, and we are one of the proud sponsors.
There will be a number of keynote speakers and networking opportunities at the event. Richard Hicks, our Director of Regeneration, Culture, Environment and Transformation & Deputy Chief Executive, will be speaking about Medway’s transformation into a smart city, as well as the area’s monumental regeneration programme.
Medway is now the biggest regeneration zone within the Thames Gateway and is one of the most promising growth areas in the south-east – the economy is worth £5.17bn and there are a staggering 14,000 businesses based in Medway.
We have the ideal mix of a thriving business scene and urban town centres with a rich heritage and award winning rural areas. Medway provides the ideal formula and support for new and existing businesses to grow.
Find out more information about our ambitious plans to make Medway a leading waterfront city by 2035, including our ongoing work around the £170m Housing Infrastructure Bid to unlock potential growth on the Hoo Peninsula.
The 4th Annual UK Wide Infrastructure Investment Showcase and Debates event is being held on Wednesday, 31 October and Thursday, 1 November at One Great George Street, London. Richard Hicks will be speaking at the event at 9.55am on the Wednesday.
