Warning of possible flooding overnight (29-30 September 2019)

There is a warning of possible flooding in the early hours of Monday 30 September as a result of a tidal surge at 2.15am.

The flooding could affect the following areas

  • Canal Road Strood
  • Darnley Road roundabout, Strood
  • Knight Road roundabout, Strood
  • High Street, Strood
  • Pier Road, Gillingham.

The flood gates in Canal Road will be closed at midnight tonight until 3am on Monday 30 September.

Residents likely to be affected will be contacted directly. If you have been contacted, you should check the Environment Agency website for the latest advice.
