The Great British Spring Clean has been postponed until September. Check back for rescheduled dates later in the year.
Residents are being encouraged to help keep Medway clean and tidy as part of a national campaign.
Medway Council is supporting the Great British Spring Clean – the country’s biggest-ever community clear up led by Keep Britain Tidy.
There will be 13 litter picks taking place across Medway and residents are encouraged to take part.
Last year more than 300 volunteers collected 769 bags of litter, weighing more than six tonnes.
Helping keep Medway clean and tidy
Cllr Phil Filmer, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Frontline Services, said: “We are all responsible for keeping Medway clean and tidy and I would encourage residents to take part in the Great British Spring Clean. The national campaign encourages everyone to work together to help clean up their local communities. We are looking forward to taking part and we will provide volunteers with litter pickers. We are looking forward to seeing as many residents as possible during our Great British Spring Clean events.”
