We have taken the difficult decision to not hold a fireworks display in November this year, in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Cllr Howard Doe, Portfolio Holder for Community Services, at Medway Council, said: “Whilst we appreciate Medway’s bonfire night at The Great Lines is a popular free event for many of our residents, this year’s event will not be going ahead with the ongoing safety of the public driving this difficult decision. We are committed to doing all we can to help stop the virus from spreading and we will continue to follow government guidelines and put measures in place to encourage social distancing.”
