Earlier this year councillors agreed to set up a cross party working group to conduct a review of memorials, historic markers and monuments in Medway.
A report of their findings was presented to Medway Council’s Cabinet on Tuesday, 15 December.
Cabinet agreed to rename of the Sir John Hawkins car park in Waterfront Way, Chatham to St John’s car park. St John the Divine Church is located next to the car park.
The council will arrange for the signs in the car park to be updated as soon as possible.
