About the Shop Front Improvement Grant (SFIG)
We have been given £300,000 of Pride of Place government funding to improve shopfronts for independent businesses in Medway.
Businesses will be able to apply for up to £5,000 to make improvements to their premises.
The purpose of this grant is to:
- improve the external appearance of retail and hospitality premises
- support local businesses
- reduce the number of vacant units
- promote regeneration and create high street activity.
Grants must be awarded to businesses by 31 March 2027. Proposals must be finalised and grant offer letters signed by this date.
