From ideas for family cooking, to beginner’s exercise and help with feeling more relaxed, we’ve got you covered.   

Whether you've used our services before or you’re new to A Better Medway, our online sessions will help you feel good and stay well at home.

Relax and unwind

Mondays and Thursdays at 7.30pm

Join mindfulness therapist Ange for 30 minutes of relaxation to help you unwind at the end of the day. Ange will focus on breathing and visualisation techniques to help you calm your mind and let go of any stress or anxiety.

Intro to exercise

Mondays at 2pm

These short exercises are suitable for all abilities and will help you to stay active in a safe way under the current government guidelines. All the sessions are designed by our qualified physical activity specialists.

Healthy Way

Tuesdays at 10.30am

Keeping up healthy habits can be tough when you’re spending a lot of time at home.

Each week Tessa will share information on healthy eating and looking after your physical health during the lockdown.

Sessions will cover eating a balanced diet, coping with anxieties and stress and getting a good night’s sleep.

Alcohol, drugs and sexual health

Tuesdays at 12 noon

Short video interviews and lots of useful online signposting to help you look after your sexual health.

Find out what support is available if you are struggling with either drinking too much or drug misuse, plus tips on simple changes that can make a big difference.

Family lifestyle hacks

Tuesdays at 5:30pm

Simple hacks that will make life better and easier for you and your family during the lockdown. Find out how to eat more healthily, be more active and feel great.

Stop smoking support

Wednesdays at 10:30am

Our Smokefree Advice Centre might be closed, but you can still get weekly support thanks to our virtual advisor sessions with Chris Ford. Find out about our online services, how to choose the right nicotine replacement therapy, manage cravings and much more.

Little Food Explorers: introducing solids

Wednesdays at 2pm

Tune in for recipe ideas and tips, and get all your questions answered about introducing solids.

Make Tea Together

Thursdays at 3:30pm, starts 28 April

For families with school-aged children, our Make Tea Together sessions will show you how to use new ingredients and learn new skills, all while having fun as a family.

Breastfeeding support

Fridays at 10:30am

Whether you’re a soon-to-be mum or you’ve recently given birth, Louise from our breastfeeding programme ‘Beside You’ will be providing weekly sessions to help you get the most from breastfeeding your baby.
