Medway Lottery: helping good causes

The Medway Lottery Community Fund is a Medway Council scheme. It provides grants for charitable organisations and good causes in Medway.

Grants of up to £500 are available.

The discretionary scheme’s funds are topped up on a rolling basis from lottery ticket sales. All applications are reviewed by our Chief Operating Officer and the Deputy Leader for Medway Council.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scheme the:

  • organisation you represent must be a charity or other good cause
  • organisation must clearly operate in Medway
  • funds given must provide services or activities that directly benefit the people within Medway
  • funds must not be used to promote religious or political ideologies.

Apply

To apply for a grant, you'll need to use our online form.

You'll need to tell us:

  • your details, including name and contact information
  • if you're applying on behalf of someone else
  • what the charitable or good cause is and why a grant is needed
  • how much you're applying for.

Your proposal must constitute lawful expenditure.

We aim to review applications within 14 days. This may be longer if we need to contact you because you have not provided enough information in your application.

Once your application has been processed, we’ll contact you with the outcome. If successful, we'll talk to you about next steps.
