Make the most of Medway and our great attractions with the new summer holiday bus service.
The bus will serve key leisure destinations in Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham, stopping at attractions including:
- Medway Park
- The Strand
- Riverside Country Park
- Cozenton Park Sports Centre.
Buses will run 7 days a week with an hourly service. The service will be operated by Chalkwell and Nu-Venture.
This new route runs until Sunday 1 September 2024 (inclusive).
From 29 July to 15 August, 200 bus will divert along Childscroft Road and Berengrave Lane due to a closure of Lower Rainham Road.
During this time, children can also travel for free on all other bus services across Medway when with a fare paying

Prices
Single adult tickets cost £2.
Each fare paying adult or concessionary bus pass holder can bring up to 3 children (under 18) to travel free with them.

Free bus travel for children this summer
From Saturday 20 July to Sunday 1 September (inclusive), children can also get free travel on all other bus services in Medway.
Each fare paying adult or concessionary bus pass holder (older person's or disabled person's) can bring up to 3
You're a fare paying adult if you have purchased any ticket, including:
- a single
- a return
- a daily ticket
- a 4-weekly ticket
- an annual season ticket
- a discovery day ticket.
Travel must take place within the Medway Council boundary and can be on any service up to 8pm.
Operators in the scheme are:

- Redroute.
