Additional information

Active Support at Martha

This programme aims to empower people with learning disabilities to participate in everyday activities and enable them to take greater control over decisions regarding their life and care. The Active Support programme brings together all forms of communication from gestures, sign language, body language rather than relying on verbal communication.

The programme improves engagement, increases choices and helps to promote independence for the people we are supporting.

Above all, we want to make sure that people with profound physical and multiple learning disabilities are given the very best opportunities to lead happy, active and fulfilling lives.

Supporting families

We also offer support and advice for the whole family, making sure that parents and siblings have the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of life here.
