The forum is a safe space where you can share your concerns and experiences with other siblings. It has been set up with funding from the National Autistic Society.
It is for siblings who are concerned about how the needs of their brother or sister with autism will be met in the future.
You may be worried about a specific issue such as:
- finding appropriate housing or care for your brother or sister with autism
- the impact that autism has/had on you and your family
- the effects of ageing on people with autism and what that might mean for you as a sibling
- how to talk to your parent(s) about plans for the future
- coping with the emotional and practical aspects of supporting your brother or sister
