Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates

At present all activities have been suspended due to COVID-19. When the government rules and when we feel it is safe to start our activities again details will be posted on our website.

Due to the popularity of our club, we may have to introduce a waiting list.

Halling Active Retirement Association offers something for everyone, from the active to the sedentary.

We run various activities from short mat bowls, coffee mornings and sequence dancing to ten pin bowls, talks, outings and indoor games.

The Halling Active Retirement Association is open to all those over 50 who are retired or semi-retired and living in Halling, Cuxton, Strood or the surrounding area.

We meet on the last Friday of the month at Jubilee Hall, Upper Halling, where we enjoy tea and a chat, a raffle and sometimes a speaker, in-house entertainment, fish and chips, a cream tea bingo or a quiz.

For more information phone 01634 716 049.

Short Mat Bowls is held at the Community Centre on Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons.

Coffee Mornings are held at the Community Centre on Thursdays.

Art takes place at Jubilee Hall on the first 3 Fridays of the month when we have our meeting. Once a month we enjoy a walk followed by a pub lunch, and we also hold regular games afternoons.

During the year we arrange various outings, a Christmas Dinner with entertainment and a Bowls Section presentation evening dinner.

A detailed list of diary dates can be found on our website.

Annual membership is £10 and we charge a small fee for each of the meetings and sessions of games.
