This scheme provides carers with a key fob and card the size of a credit card, that they can always keep on their person. It will alert people they are a carer in case of accident or sudden illness.
The card and fob enable carers to write the number of the person to be contacted in an emergency. If the nominated person is not contactable, the number of Medway Adult Social Care’s is on the card and fob.
The card and fob will provide carers and the cared for person peace of mind, it will enable the nominated person or Medway Adult Social to put in place the prearranged contingency plan for the cared for person.
