Description

Peer support may be defined as the help and support that people with lived experience of mental health issues are able to give to one another.

It may be social, emotional, or practical support but importantly this support is mutually offered and reciprocal, allowing peers to benefit from the support if they are giving or getting it.

MEGAN CIC offers a programme of Peer Support Groups for anyone aged over 17 experiencing mental health issues in:

  • Medway
  • Swale
  • Dartford
  • Gravesham
  • Swanley
  • West Kent.

Medway's Weekly Peer Support Groups are:

  • Depression, Anxiety & Bipolar Peer Support Group
  • Twilight Talks – evening social group
  • Personality Disorder Peer Support Groups
  • Coffee & Chat (social & emotional wellbeing group)
  • Life After Addiction Peer Support Group
  • 12-week Toolkit Programme.
