- Mid-Kent Branch Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)
- Description
-
We have a team of trained volunteers known as association visitors (AVs) who can provide free and confidential support about Motor Neurone Disease for you, your carers, family and close friends. If you think you would find it helpful.
We can arrange for an association visitor to stay in regular contact with you, either by phone, email or by visiting you at home.
By getting to know you and those close to you they can provide practical advice and support tailored to your individual needs now and when they change in the future.
AVs' knowledge of MND and its effects means they can help you to access benefits and signpost you to sources of help or other services that might be helpful to you.
As part of local Multi-Disciplinary Teams, AVs will liaise on your behalf with a range of health and social care professionals.
They will follow up requests made to statutory or voluntary agencies so that you get the help you need when you need it.
