The Richard Watts Charities provide a home help service available to those living in Rochester and urban Strood.
The home help service is purely for domestic help.
Home help can be applied for by referral from social services, doctors' surgeries, care organisations or by direct contact with our Administration Offices.
The Home Help service can assist you with a range of domestic duties such as:
- shopping
- cleaning
- ironing, laundry and dry-cleaning
- taking out rubbish
- making and changing beds
- caring for houseplants
- maintaining calendars
- checking food expiry dates
- overseeing home deliveries
- helping with personal paperwork
- helping with telephone calls
The Home Help service costs £10.50 per hour.
If you are on a low income (with a disposable income of less than £125 per week for a single person or £175 for a couple) a financial assessment can be carried out to see if you qualify for a free service.
