Disposing at a Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC)
Kitchen knives (and other similar sharp objects) should be put in the scrap metal container at your local HWRC.
Home disposal
If you cannot get to your local HWRC, you can dispose of kitchen knives in your black sacks waste.
You must wrap them in bubble wrap or other packing to prevent injury.
