Evans RIDE IT Sportives
Saturday 16 June 2018 from 8am
Start and finish at Medway Park, Mill Road, Gillingham, ME7 1HF
Adults from £20, children free.
Medway Council has teamed up with Evans to bring RIDE IT to the Medway Cycling Festival.
The 30, 50 and 80 mile sportive routes start from Medway Park and take riders on a tour of the Kent countryside heading east towards Faversham then south into the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Medway Big Ride Together Family Festival
Saturday 16 June from 10am to 3pm at Riverside Country Park/The Strand Leisure Park
Get on your bikes and join us for a day of cycling-themed family fun as part of the Medway Cycling Festival.
Park up at Riverside and gently pedal 2 miles along the river-side cycle path to The Strand for a family festival celebrating all things wheels.
Enjoy free activities including novelty bikes and challenges, roller derby, bike checks, arts and crafts, face painting and more before returning back along the river. Free medal for every rider.
No registration needed. All ages welcome.
Ride the Heron Trail
Saturday 9 June 2018, 10am to 12pm start from Cliffe Memorial Hall (parking available), return by 2pm.
Join the A Better Medway team to explore the Hoo Peninsula on two wheels. The Heron Trail is a 17 mile circular cycle route, but shorter options are available. Route maps and ride advice available before you begin. Souvenir medal for every rider.
Bikeability Taster Sessions
Monday 11 June to Friday 15 June 2018 at Strand Leisure Park
Join our Bikeability instructors and Road Safety Team for free cycling safety sessions for children as part of the Medway Cycling Festival.
- 1.30pm to 1.45pm and 2.30pm to 3.15pm: Bikeability Balance for 3 and 4 year olds (equipment provided)
- 4pm to 5pm: Bike Skills and Safety for 8 to 11year olds (bring your own bike)
No booking needed. All children must be supervised.
