Eastgate House will be launching Something old, something new this summer – an exhibition which highlights wedding customs throughout the ages.
Exhibition open Wednesdays to Sundays only
The exhibition in Rochester’s 16th and 17th century townhouse will showcase weddings throughout the ages - from different cultures, dresses, food and traditions.
There’ll be interactive rooms including dressing up for children.
Visitors will be greeted with button holes and an order of service and they will get to sign a guest book at the end.
We want YOU to be involved. We’d love you to send in your wedding photos so we can display them as part of this amazing exhibition.
You can get involved whether you:
- were married in a Medway venue that no longer exists
- were married abroad
- had a civil partnership
- were married during the war and shared your day with others
Whatever the story, we’d love to receive your pictures (as well as a brief story behind them, even if it’s just where and when) to share for everyone to see during the exhibition.
By sending in your pictures, you are giving us permission on behalf of everyone in the photo to be featured in our public display at Eastgate House.
We cannot return the pictures so we recommend that you send copies to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you only have the original, the team at Eastgate House will happily scan it for you.
