Join Helen Close from the Women's Engineering Society, for this talk about pioneering inventor and engineer Verena Holmes.
In 1946, Holmes partnered with a fellow WES member Sheila Leather, to found the engineering firm Holmes and Leather, based in Gillingham. They employed only women to develop and produce a range of machines.
This talk is part of the circle of six, a project to celebrate the global impact of 6 women with a personal connection to Gillingham.
