To celebrate Medway's Fun Palace weekend, join writer Maria C. McCarthy and Heritage Officer Helen Close for this creative writing workshop, inspired by the personal letters of engineer and inventor Verena Holmes.
This workshop is part of the circle of six, a project to celebrate the global impact of 6 women with a personal connection to Gillingham. In 1946 Verena co-founded the engineering firm Holmes and Leather, in Gillingham, employing only women to develop and produce a range of machinery.
