She revolutionised the way autism was regarded and developed the concept of an autism spectrum. She campaigned for the educational rights of autistic children and founded the organisation that later became the National Autistic Society.
This talk is part of the circle of six, a project to celebrate the global impact of 6 women with a personal connection to Gillingham.
