Join us for the launch of the Circle of Six anthology.
Medway Libraries invited the local community to submit creative writing about six extraordinary women with personal connections to Gillingham. The Circle of Six anthology is the exciting collection of their work.
Join us as we celebrate the anthology launch, as part of Local and Community History Month. Extracts from the anthology will be shared on the night, including poems, stories and personal stories.
The Circle of Six are:
- Sarah Forbes Bonetta: African Princess and Goddaughter to Queen Victoria
- Tirzah Garwood: Artist
- Verena Holmes: Inventor and Engineer
- Dr Lorna Wing: Pioneering Psychiatrist
- Dame Kathleen Courtney: Suffragist and Peace Campaigner
- Rosemary Tonks: Writer
