The Energy Company Obligation 4 (ECO4) scheme has been set up to support low income and vulnerable households in improving the energy efficiency of their homes.

The scheme provides funding to install insulation and heating measures that will:

  • help keep homes warmer
  • reduce energy bills
  • help to reduce heating loss to be better for the environment.

The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (OFGEM) deliver the scheme on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), previously known as the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The scheme runs until 31 March 2026.
