If you're looking for ways to save energy at home, there are a number of schemes which can help.
You'll be able to apply for the schemes regardless of your energy provider.
Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS)
We're working with E.ON to offer eligible residents free cavity wall insulation or subsidised underfloor, loft, and roof insulation.
Having insulation can help you to:
- save money on your energy bills
- make your home more comfortable
- reduce your carbon footprint
- increase the value of your home.
Find out if you're eligible and apply for the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS).
Energy Company Obligation 4 (ECO4) scheme
The Energy Company Obligation 4 (ECO4) scheme has been set up to support low income and vulnerable households in improving the energy efficiency of their homes.
The scheme provides funding to install insulation and heating measures that will:
- help keep homes warmer
- reduce energy bills
- help to reduce heating loss to be better for the environment.
The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (OFGEM) deliver the scheme on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), previously known as the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
The scheme runs until 31 March 2026.
