Meet the EPS team
Our Educational Psychology Service (EPS) team all work with children and young people to find out what they like and dislike, what is going well and what they might find hard.
This information is then shared with important people in that person’s life to help make changes for them.
A member of our team may meet with the child at school or home. During the meeting, we'll:
- talk about what is important to them
- talk about what they want for the future
- play some games or do some activities with them.
If they do not want to work with us, they do not have to.
If they have any questions, it may be helpful for them to write these down or ask someone else to write them down beforehand. We'll then try our best to answer them when we meet them.
Please contact your child's school for the full profile of the team member they'll be meeting with.
Trainee and assistant educational psychologists are all supervised and work closely with qualified psychologists.
Our team is also supported by our psychology service officers. If you call the team, they'll likely answer the phone and will gladly help where they can.
